Since the main purpose of this blog will be chronicling my upcoming roadtrip, to break it in we'll start with the last roadtrip. Dad and I went to Lake Havasu, Arizona, for Busses By The Bridge, a sort of meeting of the minds of the VW van community. It was on this trip I started to envision my cross-country adventure, and since that trip is going to be my baby, I guess that means these pictures are of the conception:

Dad and Trudel, loaded up and ready to go

Dad outside the Courtesy Coffee Shop in Blythe, California

Self portrait in Blythe

They'll let anyone into Arizona

I call this "Shoes on a Rug"

A beautiful Havasu sunset

This would probably be more impressive if it were in focus
